Nothing like an All-American Girl who’s up for anything! Lisa is a photographer and was an attendee at my most recent Portrait Workshop…. while the Boudoir model was caught in LA Marathon traffic hell, I asked Lisa to jump into the hot seat! And she happily obliged. I give her so much respect and credit. Most girls need to mentally prepare, but no… not Lisa. We had a quick chat and made some wardrobe changes with what she was wearing: we took her jeans and rolled them up, took off her shirt and kept the rocker vest on (for awhile!), took her underwear off (sorry is that TMI?)… then I added my high heels, turned the fan on and Lisa rocked it out! She is such a bold, fun, edgy, sexy and beautiful girl – on the inside and out. Thank you Lisa! for helping me out with your openness and willingness to experiment.

Wow. I have been searching for a boudoir photographer, and seen so many websites. Your photos are on a different level. I finally feel like I found someone who can photograph me as I have been wanting for years: beautiful, sexy, romantic, gorgeous shots. I’ve looked over the rest of your photo blog posts and each girl is repsresented so differently but you have the same fantastic style. Christa, love the pictures of Kate. Wow, she clearly became less shy as she was being shot! She enjoyed being the center of attention and let herself go. You seem to have the ability to put your subjects – of which I have been one – at ease. I love the fact that you get your subjects to laugh and enjoy themselves, photography needn’t always be deadly serious. While I enjoy looking at dramatic photographs, of the all-too-prevalent dark side of man, I also want to see all of life…and laughter and sensuality are part of life too, the part that keeps us going, truth be told. Great stuff as always and please keep using “amateur” or “volunteer” models. You know my theory well, that a lot of professionals just get “modeled out” and begin to look too tight, tired and drawn. Besides, there wasn’t a shortage of interesting, beautiful models like Kate in Los Angeles the last time I looked! So, the person who poses once in a while will enjoy doing so as long as the photographer makes them feel at ease and the photographs will have a fresher, truer quality. You have proved it once again!
