Vert et Blanc

An encore performance by Evie! This time, in green feathers and not much else. Her sparkling lingerie pieces are one-of-a-kind and handmade by Evie herself… and sadly, she’s retired from this craft – believe me, I begged :) That’s okay – I just found my next rainy day project!

Rouge

“When in doubt, wear red.” Bill Blass had it right… you’ll never go wrong in red. I had the pleasure of photographing burlesque model and independent film actress Evie this past weekend at Out Of Frame studios in Hollywood. I fell in love with the all-white canvas, and I thought it made the perfect backdrop to highlight Evie’s vibrant pops of red. Evie reminded me of a vintage Vogue cover come to life in alabaster skin and when she walked out in this get up, I almost fainted from excitement to photograph her and feeling the pain of that tight corset! After making sure she could breathe, I started snapping away while I asked Evie to just strut around, dance, and do her strip tease thang…

Pillow-Fight! Boudoir Workshop Demo No. 4

Want a fun and easy way to rid yourself of Boudoir Shoot butterflies? A Pillow-fight! That’ll get the blood flowing and all the nerves will soon disappear. Who can take themselves so seriously after getting whacked in the head with a pillow? :) These shots were taken at my most recent Boudoir Workshop in LA at The Mondrian Hotel… and on that note:

Lauren, Boudoir Workshop Demo No. 3

Lauren is just an ordinary girl next door… who came to life in front of the camera – or I should say “cameras” – since she was our first model at my Boudoir Workshop last weekend. And the girl was indefatigable – just how I like ‘em! Lauren was energetic, up for anything, super adorable and stayed that way for all 14 photographers that photographed her! Here are some of my favorites from the Boudoir demo I did to start us off!…

These first 3 shots remind me of perfume ads… so sensual, you can almost smell Chanel :)

Okay, now this hot little lingerie piece is one of my all-time favs for some hot sexy dancing at midnight, and you know I just had to run out to Victoria’s Secret and buy it for myself!…

Pictage U: Boudoir and Lighting

Very cool Announcement… I was thrilled to be asked to be one of the 6 Instructors at the first Pictage U! The Conference/Workshop will be on Boudoir & Lighting in San Diego on May 25th and 26th. I am so humbled to be teaching alongside some of the best photographers in the industry and very cool people: Carlos Baez, the Bui Brothers, Kitty Maer, and Anne Ruthmann.
