Monet at Musee´ de l’Orangerie

Couldn’t you just get lost in these colors? I’m missing Paris, and thought I’d post some fine art inspiration for your weekday. I love when art & the environment it’s housed in is so perfectly suited for each other, and Monet at Musee´ de l’Orangerie is a sublime example. Take a peek…

…settles my soul, I tell ya.

To see another fine art space that is truly magical and lights my fire, check out one of my favorite posts: Passion at Musee´ Rodin.

Live inspired,

Christa xoxo

I love this space. You’ve captured it beautifully! Nice to see it without all the people.

      Thanks Lissa!

It was actually busy that day – you just have to be extremely patient and a bit bossy :)

The colors of his painting are amazing and I’m not surprised they’ve been admired for such a long time. I also like very much your pictures of them. :)

I love Monet (there is something so soothing about his work!) — I had no idea these paintings were SO large!! What a wonderful set of images you created here!!

I attended the Monet exhibit in Chicago that broke attendance records for the Art Institute of Chicago. They took you from 1840 to 1926 in Monet’s career.

He was an incredible painter in that he was driven by the need to create art. He created works into his 90′s even as his eyesight failed him.

This painting was done in his later life. Amazing to say the least.
